About
Erin Gabrielle Tutcher graduated with a BFA in interior design from Pratt Institute in 2010. Upon graduation, she worked for a boutique architecture firm specializing in eclectic modern residential design in NYC for several years. Always curious about new creative avenues, she took on a position with iconic sneaker brand Converse where she designed and created unique one-of-a-kind sneakers for five years. Ultimately realizing her heart was still in interior design, she gravitated back to the industry at a completely different capacity, discovering the fast-paced world of staging real estate. She worked under one of NYC’s most experienced and successful stagers for several years. The experience she gained during her time staging ignited a curiosity in furniture design. This lead her to leave the city to pursue an MFA in furniture design at Savannah College of Art and Design. Erin presented her thesis collection Between 7th & 8th in a solo exhibition in November of 2019 and completed her MFA program in May of 2020. Each of her pieces have been executed through a process of sketches, 3D CAD models, drafted plans, form studies, and working prototypes she has fabricated herself. Currently, she is expanding her furniture collections and working on several interior design projects within the Savannah area.
